Tokyo 2020: “I’m ready to take on the world” – Weightlifter

GNA – Ghana’s Weightlifter Christian Amoah has said he is prepared to take on the world as he gears up for 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Amoah, who has great prospects of winning a medal in the competition, said in an interview that “he would be the man to watch at Tokyo 2020.

“I don’t want to say much the platform would do the talking. I don’t want my competitors to know how much am carrying now, but I can say my training is good and I am lifting very good weights,” he said.

Amoah, who is ranked number by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CWG) is poised to make history for Ghana at his second Olympic Games.

He expressed appreciation to the President of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation (GWF), Mr. Jerry Ahmed Shaib and the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) President, Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah for their support and inspiration.
