‘Project Black Stars agenda in positive light’

Must Read

Chairman of the senior national team, the Black Stars’ Management Committee, Mr George Amoako, has called on the media to prosecute the Black Stars agenda for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and the 2021 AFCON tournament in positive light.

“We are Ghana Black Stars. We can deliver when we have positive vibes and assistance from you. Please let us go by that and go for gold; it is one of the best ways you can help the team deliver and bring back the smiles on the faces of Ghanaians.”

Speaking after Ghana was drawn in Group C alongside Morocco, Gabon and the Comoros Islands for the next AFCON scheduled for Cameroon in next year, Mr Amoako said the group was a fairly balanced one, and that with good preparation, Ghana would have a formidable team capable of coming out of the group stages and compete for the title.

This, he believes would come to pass through the cooperation of all, especially the media, who he noted, held the magic wand to carry the nation along with the Blacks Stars in a positive light to energise Ghanaians to do same.

“Give the nation some hope; give us the advice we need to work with and lessen the negative vibes because if you work with negative vibes, we will get negative results.

“I’m not saying the media should shelve any wrong doing by anybody in and around the team; that is not what I mean. But most often, the negative commentaries around the team heading into major tournaments does not help the team psyche.

“It’s almost 40 years since Ghana last won the African Cup of Nations and the time has now come for us to unite and project the positives around the team so that the Stars can deliver,” he further stated.
