The Handball Association of Ghana (HAG) has announced a new date for its Elective Congress to get new officers into office.
According to a statement signed by its Secretary General, Mr. Charles Amofa, HAG has set September 11 for the new exercise to be held at the Auditorium of the Accra Metropolitan Authority (AMA).
The Congress, originally scheduled for July 11 was postponed following credibility and timing concerns raised by stakeholders, necessitating the formation of the Rev Emmanuel Nikoi Committee to consider depositions of aggrieved members and find a way forward for the association.
The statement said the latest decision was taken after close consultation with the Confederation of Africa Handball (CAHB).
The process will start exactly at 8:30am and will be expected to have stakeholders from about 11 regions of the country.
