Ghana, Turkey captains of industry to explore trade opportunities

More than 51 captains of industry and businessmen from Turkey are expected to participate in this year’s International Business Forum in Accra.

The forum which is scheduled for July 21 to 22 is being organised under the auspices of the World Cooperation Forum with support from the Ghana Chamber of Commerce.

Briefing the media in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of the WCIForum, UtkuBengisu, said this year’s forum would provide the platform for industry players from Turkey who would be participating in the event to interact with their Ghanaian counterparts to explore trade opportunities in both countries.

He explained that the WCI Forum, international business forum series was birthed in 2017 with the first event being held Antalya Turkey.

Mr Azizi said the forum was organised to develop the trade potential of business people between Africa and Turkey.

He noted that the event offered important opportunity for traders who wanted to meet manufacturers and exporters from all sectors in Turkey to develop businesses.

“Those who want to meet the manufacturers directly, get their representatives and develop business with them can join the forum,” he emphasised.

He noted that now more than ever, it was important for the world to foster closer working collaborations that presents a win-win situation for all, stressing that “This has become even more necessary due to the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
