The body of an unidentified man has been found at a location between Jeyiri and Kulkpong in the Wa East District of the Upper West Region.
According to Head of the Public Affairs Unit of the Regional Police Command, Chief Inspector Gideon OheneBoateng, the body was found under a bridge by MrIddrisu Ali, a unit committee member of Jeyiri, and another person.
Chief InspBoateng said Mr Ali reported to the police at Bulengathat he and another man spotted the body in the bush under a bridge.
He said the police did not detect any foul play after inspecting the body of the man, which was lying in a supine position.
“The body was in a supine position and was duly inspected by the Police but no foul play was detected,” Chief InspBoateng said.
He said that the body was deposited at the Regional Hospital- Wa mortuary whilst investigation continued.
Chief InspBoatengcalled on the public to go to the hospital to identify the body and report to the Bulenga and Funsi Police stations for the next line of action.
He said the deceased is dark in complexion and about 5 feet 7 inches tall, and items reportedly found by the deceased included, a handbag containing a knife, a pair of trousers, broken clay pot, round neck ‘T-shirt, tracksuit, rubber sandals, 2 lace shirts and GHC10. -ghanaweb
