Apetorgbor files nomination to contest NDC deputy communication officer

Journalist and political activist, Ralph Apetorgbor, has filed his nomination form to contest as Deputy Communication Officer for the second time running in the upcoming internal elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leadership in the Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.

He was accompanied by a crowd mostly comprising the youth to the NDC’s office in Sowutuom, where he submitted his completed form after the nomination exercise by the party commenced on September 28, and was expected to close at 5pm the following day.

Mr Apetorgbor, who defied the heavy rains, was met on arrival by Kwame Asare Obeng, a member of the Constituency Electoral Committee, who accepted the nomination form after checking them to verify whether the necessary information had been provided.

Addressing media colleagues, members, sympathisers and supporters of the party after filing his nomination, Mr Apetorgbor could not contain his emotions as he was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, trust, confidence and support from branch executives from across the constituency who gathered at the constituency office.

“I promise to continue offering communication leadership for the NDC in the constituency by being proactive, use expertise and experience skills and knowledge to the advantage of the party’s presidential and parliamentary election campaigns, as a communications specialist, my aim is to see the NDC win Election 2024, become the incumbent party in 2025 and through that progress, grow and develop the constituency in diverse ways. 

“I am forever indebted to you for your continuous support, assistance and I will never take you for granted for the show of love, trust and confidence reposed in me by ensuring the NDC wins highest votes in both the presidential and parliamentary elections in the Greater Accra Region,” Mr Apetorgbor pledged.

He appealed for logistics support and assistance from the leadership and hierarchy of the party to fulfill his mandate for the NDC which had natured his political career to another level.
