Ghanaians have been advised to keep their valuable documents in safes to protect them against the risk of fire, floods or theft.
The Executive Director of Krif Ghana Limited, Mrs Susan E. Okosun, gave the advice at Tema on Monday at the company’s 52 Free Safes promotion launch.
The programme, she said, seeks to donate 52 safes to 52 organisations within the next 52 weeks starting from November 9, 2021, adding that the gesture was to help relieve the financial burden on loyal customers and members of the general public and enable them cope with the harsh economic conditions from the coronavirus pandemic.
Under the programme a number of safes would be donated to organisations nominated by sales and customer service staff of the company, while the majority would go to beneficiaries nominated by members of the public and other entities.
Mrs. Okosun said an online nomination platform had been set up for members of the public and organisations to nominate eligible nominees across the 16 regions and 261 districts.
She noted that the initiative formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility towards commendable institutions and to show gratitude to the Ghanaian public for keeping faith with the company.
Mrs Okosun said to ensure transparency, free and fair selection process the company would not be involved in the selection of beneficiaries.
However, nominees who are not selected would be given opportunity to buy products at 10 per cent discount.
The Executive Chairman of Krif Ghana Limited, Rev. Kennedy Okosun, said the firm which stocked state of the art office equipment, safes and stationery employed some of the best trained technicians to offer sales support services.
