The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has reaffirmed his commitment to partnering with traditional leaders to promote Ghanaian festivals.
This initiative, Mahama said, is part of a broader strategy to boost local economies, enhance cultural tourism, and showcase Ghana’s rich heritage on the global stage.
Mahama made these remarks during a visit to the Ga Mantse’s palace on Thursday, November 28.
His meeting with King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and the Ga Traditional Council was a part of his tour of the Greater Accra region as the December 7 general elections draw to a close.
Mahama expressed his gratitude for the warm and colourful welcome he received from the Ga Mantse, chiefs, queen mothers, and other dignitaries present at the palace.
Taking to his Facebook page to share the experience, Mahama reflected on the role and impact of traditional rulers in Ghanaian society.
