Robbie Fowler has been appointed manager of Saudi Arabian second-tier side Al-Qadsiah.
The Liverpool legend, 48, returns to the touchline two years after leaving Indian outfit East Bengal.
His new club Al-Qadashi finished 11th in the Saudi Second Division last term, 23 points behind the top four, who were all promoted.
Fowler becomes the latest high-profile figure to head to the Gulf state, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante recently joining Pro League clubs.
His former Reds team-mate Steven Gerrard turned down the opportunity to manage top-tier side Al-Ettifaq but Fowler has opted for a move to the Middle East.
It is the Liverpudlian’s fourth job in management, having spent a season in Thailand as player-manager of Muangthong United before taking over at Brisbane Roar in Australia seven years later.

A well-travelled managerial career then took him to India with East Bengal, where he spent the 2020-21 season in charge prior to a brief spell coaching at Oxford.
He will hope to gain further experience in the dugout and fire his new club to the top flight at the first time of asking.
As a player, Fowler is regarded as one of English football’s all-time great strikers, scoring 162 goals in 379 Premier League appearances.
