Ghana anticipating win against Sudan

Ghana will be in action against Sudan in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The first match will be played in the Ghanaian city of Cape Coast on November 12 and the return fixture is scheduled to take place in Khartoum, Sudan on November 17.

The Black Stars of Ghana secured a 5-1 win over Qatar in their last friendly game which was a on 12 October 2020. 

This was Ghana’s third win in their last four matches across all competitions. 

The last time they tasted a defeat was against Mali on 9 October 2020 as they succumbed to a 3-0 loss in a friendly match. 

Meanwhile, Sudan managed to hold Togo to a 1-1 draw in their last game which was a friendly game in October 2020.

As a result, the Falcons of Jediane are winless in their last two matches across all competitions having registered one draw and one defeat.

Their last victory came against Eritrea as they recorded a 1-0 victory in a friendly encounter in January 2020.

The last meeting between Ghana and Sudan was on 7 June 2013.

The Black Stars thrashed the Falcons of Jediane in a friendly match which was played at the Al-Merreikh Stadium in Omdurman.
