The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana said Christians were in recent times living double lives as they only on worship days portrayed Christianity and went around on normal days as if they were not Christians.

Rev Dr Fayose noted that the inductees had a big task and underscored “it also behooves on all of us to do what is right and support them in this journey because we all have a call.”

Stressing that it was impossible for one to please God without faith, he indicated all that there were essential benefits for people who obeyed and pleased God.

He called for leadership on the parts of leading denominations when issues arose, urging them not to shy away from such issues but speak to them or add their voices in order to set the right pace for the growing denominations.

“Let us be forthright with ourselves and the Lord we serve. We are the salt and light of the world. If indeed we provide the sweetener, then we are supposed to impact and guide the churches growing up,” he added.

Mr Bonsu used the opportunity to ask all, to pray without ceasing as the country was going through difficulties.

“Let us not cease praying for the country pertaining national security considering what is happening in other countries. Let us not take things for granted. I will want us to earnestly and sincerely fight for the stability of our nation,” he added.

Rev Thompson in his address beseeched all to embrace his vision of operation “Showers of Blessing,” a 10 year strategic plan which sought to elevate areas including vital spirituality, financial solvency, denominational discipline, human resource development and shelter for worship.

He emphasised that the new administration was poised to spearhead the implementation of the plan in their term of office (2022-2026) and urged all to put their hands on deck to chalk the feat.
