Sunyani MCE advises WASSCE candidates to stay focus

Must Read

Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, the Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) has advised candidates writing this year’s West African Senior High School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) not to panic and stay focused.

She reminded the candidates they were being examined on what they had already been taught in school, saying the examination questions were picked from their syllabus.

“This is not the time to panic because there is nothing new in the exams questions that you have not learnt. Only that you must think and stay focused before attempting to tackle the questions. I know you are definitely going to pass and pass well,” she told the candidates.

During a visit to some of the examination centres in the Municipality, Madam Owusu-Banahene, however, cautioned them against any form of malpractices which could lead to the cancellation of their results, and ruin their education.

She told the candidates that it was an offence to send any foreign material into the examination hall, and advised them to revise their notes and concentrate on their books at home.

Madam Owusu-Banahene said she was highly impressed about the level of discipline and supervision at the examination centres, and commended the supervisors and invigilators for ensuring that candidates strictly adhered to all COVID-19 safety protocols.
